FAIN: MR-250024-16

Rolling Hills Consolidated Library (St. Joseph, MO 64506-2201)
Martin D. Canchola (Project Director: December 2015 to October 2025)

Since 2010 Rolling Hills Library has been hosting traveling exhibitions. The Spirited exhibition will be a continuation of a growing tradition. The library would like to introduce our visitors to, at least, one of the following positive moments of the Roaring Twenties: the Art Deco movement, Jazz music, a popular dance (Charleston), or craft (window transparencies). Other prospective Spirited programs: Saint Joseph native and African-American Jazz tenor saxophonist Coleman Hawkins; Does Prohibition exist today in America?; St. Joseph's Goetz Brewery Company during the Prohibition era; Missouri, Jazz, and the Prohibition era; and a book discussion on, "The Wettest County in the World", by Matt Bondurant or "Live by Night", by Dennis LeHane.
