FAIN: RB-10092-72

John Shy (Project Director: July 1972 to present)

To bring near completion a project to study the American Revolution generation through collective biography. The Continental Army Officer Corps was a large group of men whose lives were extraordinarily well documented and whose committment to the Revolution was rarely in doubt. The results of the investigation will help clarify our picture of what kind of people committed themselves to revolution and what, in turn, the Revolution did to them.
