To gather, assemble, and make available widely scattered correspondence, speeches, essays, and editorials of a select group of black abolitionists. Grant will support creation of the comprehensive microfilm edition and one volume of the selected letterpress edition. That volume will cover Black abolitionist activity in Canada, 1830-1865.
