The project will select and edit for letterpress publication one volume of the papers of Charles Carroll of Carrollton (1737- 1782), a signer of the Declaration of Independence who came from Maryland. The document will provide an important contribution to the fields of family and social history, and a penetrating analysis of the nature of the American Revolution.
