The Santayana Project

To plan a critical collected edition of the works of George Santayana, an American philosopher and writer (1863-1952). During the first year, the project will locate, survey, photocopy and categorize the extant material; conduct a copy-right search, and prepare a manual of editing rules and procedures. During the second year, trial editing will be done to work out solutions to textual problems, and one volume will be prepared for publication.
