To support a 2-volume translation of 7 works, with introductions and notes of the Catalan philosopher, prose writer, mystic and poet, Ramon Lull (1232-1316). The edition will be centered on Lull's Ars Generalis which is a system of universal thought or knowledge, embodied in many works. The Ars Generalis influenced many Renaissance figures and is thus an important example of Renaissance thought and logic. Lull is also important as the founder of Catalan literary prose and the 1st European to write philosophy in a vulgar tongue, as the 1st great Hispanic mystic and as precursor of later novelists.
