The project proposed is part of a larger project to provide a translation, scholarly annotation, and critical edition of a great Sanskrit epic poem. No translation of this text, as critically reconstructed, exists in any language. The work on this project is being undertaken by a group of Sanskrit scholars at several universities in three countries, under the general editorship of Professor R.P. Goldman as project co-director.
