To study visual narrative media as they relate to the brief narrative in medieval Spain. An illustrated monograph will explore visualized narratives in stained glass windows, frescoes, tapestries, carvings, sculptures, miniatures and objects d'art. Functional in nature, the iconography of brief narratives reveals new dimensions of the medieval mind, and will be analyzed by this perspective.
