To undertake an extensive examination of animal remains in the Lower Illinois Valley region. The project will investigate subsistence and cultural change in the Woodland Period (about 1000 B.C. to 1000 A.D.) in Eastern North Am. by studying changing strategies of animal resource exploitation.
