To provide a data bank of information on Armenian immigrant survivors, the victims of the 1st genocide of the 20th century, through the recording and transcribing in writing of oral taped interviews of these refugees and their progeny. Proposal also seeks to provide source material for much needed comparative studies of American immigrants, to give insights into the status of the Armenian-American community today, to provide a statistical profile of the sample interviewed, and to produce a published humanistic study of a representative group of those interviewed.
