Medical Behavior In Auschwitz

To examine behavior of Nazi physicians and physician-inmates in Auschwitz and related psychological currents. PI will approach Josef Mengele, as an exemplar of the Nazi healer turned killer, using modified psychological interviews with thirty Auschwitz survivors and an equal number of German physicians. Interviews will be supplemented by archival research.
