To support 1) a 1-month study visit to the People's Republic of China by an 11-person Han Studies Delegation in 1978; 2) a similar visit by a humanities delegation in 1979; 3) visits by 6 China specialists in '78 and by 7 China specialists in '79; 4) support for the CSCPRC's Research and Reference Center; and 5) planned meetings to consider priorities and administrative structure for longer term student/language programs. Reports and positions papers will result from these activities.
