To research the "new" urban history through: 1) an examination of "the process of city building over time" including studies of the construction industry, transportation network, use of streets, etc., 2) study of a variety of human behavior including fertility, family, occupational and residential mobility, migration and mortality, 3) examination of various group experiences differentiated by race, ethnicity, clan, and sex, 4) implementation of new "time-geographic" model which integrates human activities across the urban plain.
