A Bibliography of New England History

To compile and publish a scholarly, multi-volume bibliography of New England history. This work will for the first time bring under control the vast amount of historical materials dealing with the region, assist the growing number of scholars working in this area, and stimulate new research. Chronological span will encompass period from settlement to December, 1970. Listing will be arranged geographically, with topical subheads as required, and be thoroughly indexed. Plan has been developed by the Committee for a New England Bibliography, Inc. Editor will be assisted by the Committee, an editorial board, and the publisher, Harvard University Press.
