To compile and edit edit a book of readings, with introductions, based upon the 1,672 taped interviews in the South Dakota Oral History Project. Work will attempt to capture significant aspects of the life-style, culture, and history of the Dakotas at the grass-roots level using the words of those who have been in the area all their lives.
