Silcott, Washinton, was a small rural agricultural community on the Snake River in Southwestern Washington. This community began during the 1880's. To discover the social, economic, and historical processes which led to the formation, growth, and decline of tiny American community: the research focuses on both the community as a social unit and the individuals who were members of the community. This study is part of the Alpowa Project, a multi-faceted research program concerned with all human history in a small area of Southeastern Washingtonm, State.
