To publish a detailed account, with photographs of New Orleans’ unique social history, showing how the city's architecture evolved from special requirements of climate, terrain, and custom. The book is under contract to Houghton - Mifflin for publication. The book will be designed to arouse the interest and civic indignation of the general public, in New Orleans and wherever else our national heritage of fine, useable old buildings is being thoughtlessly destroyed.
