To continue the compilation of the first comprehensive dictionary of Sumerian, a project initiated under NEH Grant No. 24879-76-869. Phase two will produce a series of sample articles for outside criticism. The response to these articles will be incorporated into a manual of standard operating procedure for the dictionary. The third and last year of phase two will see the initial writing of the dictionary. Funds are requested to hire personnel with needed special skills.
