To expand the work of the research and cataloguing staff of the Index of Christian Art to keep up with the large number of negatives now ready for processing of the Courtland Art Institute. This reflects a change in the Index's previous NEH 3-year grant, which is at the midway point. With an accelerated rate of processing, the Index should be able to absorb the rest of the Courtland photographs at a normal rate by 1981.
