To prepare an interim supplement to the Demotic glossary published in 1954. This will provide the opportunity to test the methods used to collect the vocabulary items and to prepare dictionary entries for the ultimate goal: a comprehensive Demotic dictionary. Demotic is the most difficult of all the scripts developed by the ancient Egyptians.
