To support the collection and processing of bibliographic and abstract data on philosophy articles published during 1940-66 and on philosophy books published since 1940. This phase will cover items published in English and in countries other than the U.S. All information obtained will be processed by computer programs and disseminated through (1) The Philosopher's Information Retrieval System (PIRS), (2) publication of a comprehensive hardbound bibliography and (3) access to the computer tapes.
