To develop a guide to the film and video collections in the Washington, D.C. area, which has the largest and most important collections in the Western Hemisphere. The guide would include detailed descriptions of the holdings of the Library of Congress, the National Archives and seventy other depositories. Information on viewing facilities, conditions of prints, reservation procedures, related print resources and institutions (i.e. the American Film Institute). The guide will be published as part of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars' resource guide series.
