The project will compile an annotated bibliography of novels in English written by women in the period 1891-1920 which have feminist characters and/or feminist analyses of characters. The expected results are a first edition—including a 25-page essay defining "feminist" fiction, the annotations of 2,000 titles, and an author list that includes pen names.
