The project will establish a computer-generated archive of all available data, manuscript and published, in and on all Siouan languages. The importance of this archive is: (a) its gathering together of otherwise scattered materials in many languages; (b) its provisions for access to native language materials through English; (c) its demonstration of multi-lingual, continuously accessible capabilities for automated archives; and (d) its ability to collate automatically all information available on a given topic.
