A conference on the archaeological discoveries of the past 20 years in the People's Republic of China, and their importance in reinterpreting China's history.

To support a conference that will explore how research based on archaeological remains helps reconstruct the past of a society with a vast historical literature and the opportunities and the problems presented in integrating new information with existing knowledge of Chinese history and culture.
