General operating support for state or territorial humanities council

To support public programs in the humanities through regrants to institutions and organizations in New Jersey. The Committee will retain the theme "The Idea of Equality. The Humanities and Public Policy Issues" and to sponsor two seminars for scholars to attract new and additional resources to the program. Two conferences for representation and the business and foundation communities are also planned which will stimulate new activity with the public sector.
