General operating support for state or territorial humanities council

To support public programs in the humanities through regrants to institutions and organizations in Maryland. Efforts will focus on strengthening public understanding of the Humanities and on the role of the scholar in addressing public issues. The committee plans to sponsor a series of humanities workshops and seminars in major colleges and universities and in several geographical areas of the state.
