The retention of staff and new hires to carry out oral history interviews with Umatilla tribal elders. The project would record the stories on the history of current pandemics and natural disasters that have impacted the Umatilla Indian Reservation, documenting the language as well as preservation of tribal culture. 

The CTUIR Language Program will interview and record Umatilla Tribal Elders on the history and current pandemics and natural disasters that have occured on the Umatilla Indian Reservation's ceded areas and surroundings.
