To support conserving and rehousing documents, dated 1681 to 1873 related to the founding of America.

Funds will be used to conserve and stabilize a core group of 48 deteriorating documents significant to the study of Pennsylvania and our nation's history, most created by William Penn or his successors. Conservation treatment will be performed at the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts in Philadelphia, and take 18 months to complete. Treated items will be stored in perpetuity in the climate and security controlled Archives vault, be made available for occassional exhibit, and scanned copies made available for public use. Digitized versions will be placed on the PHMC website.
