Nevada Humanities requests We the People funding to support four programs in our FY 2011 program initiatives. These programs include: Humanities on the Road, a speakers’ bureau that sends Nevada's college professors, writers, and other scholars throughout the state to provide Nevada’s diverse communities with presentations and workshops on a variety of humanities subjects that include history, culture, and contemporary issues of importance to Nevadans; Nevada Humanities programmatic outreach efforts and partnerships; the creation of written and media content for the Online Nevada Encyclopedia; and the American and Nevada history component of Nevada Humanities’ ongoing regrant program. |
