The Wisconsin Veterans Museum will accept responsibility for administering NEH's "Making Sense of the American Civil War" statewide program in Wisconsin. The Museum will receive and store the 100 sets of books that will be shipped by the ALA in Nov. 2011 and make them available on a loan basis to at least four organizations in WI for discussion and reading programs for the general public between 1/2012 and 12/2012. Discussions will be moderated by a scholar with expertise in the Civil War. Project coordinator Jannifer Kaye will attend the orientation workshop in St. Petersburg, FL. The museum will continue to loan books to organizations through April 2015, when applicable.
