With this Challenge Grant, Spokane Community College (SCC) will strengthen and improve humanities by 1) strengthening and endowing the Center for the Humanities to provide a focus for a now fragmented discipline; and 2) building library resources in the humanities to support excellence in teaching and learning. SCC will strengthen the Center for the Humanities within the library that will serve as a focus both for curricular change and increasing the public presence of the humanities on the college campus and in the community. |
