The Department of Humanities at the University of New Haven, in cooperation with several mother departments of the School of Arts and Sciences, will refine and implement a graduate course of study leading to the Master of Arts degree in Humanities. At an institution known for Business and Engineering, the program will provide a much-needed intellectual stimulus for its Liberal Arts Faculty which often serve only a "support" function, allow for a meaningful overlap between the “practical" and "cultural" aspects of higher education, and attract students back to the university who would otherwise not return for advanced degrees. |
