The Center for Civil Discourse at the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities, will hold a series of public events in 2012 to explore the principles of civil discourse and put them into practice. Nationally recognized scholars of history, philosophy, comparative religion, law, culture and the arts will participate in Civility and American Democracy: A National Forum in January 2012, to deepen our collective understanding of civility and its place in American democracy. |
