I am seeking an NEH grant to complete a book entitled "A Caring Theory of Justice." The book provides a broad account and defense of feminist care ethics as a fundamental principle of political and social justice. In addition, it specifies the political, economic, cultural and international institutions that logically follow from care ethics. My project thus depends and extends the literature on care ethics, and more generally, outlines a new theory of social and political justice based upon the universal practices of caring.
