The Oklahoma State University Library has unique resources and collections that position us to be an excellent venue for this exhibit. We have a robust community attracted to cultural experiences, and we have many scholars engaged in research and teaching that relate to the themes represented in the exhibit. With our partners, the Stillwater Public Library and the Sheerar Museum, we will host lectures from scholars, a discussion forum, a symposium and highlight additional related exhibits and collections, both digital and physical. Other community partners who will help us advertise and generate interest in the wider Stillwater area include The Payne County Historical Society, The Stillwater Homeschool Group, Stillwater Speaks, The Payne County Genealogical Society, and the Stillwater Ministerium. The strength of these partnerships illustrates the suitability of the OSU Library as host for this exhibit. |
