The Historical Society of Frankford (HSF) requests $5,000 for a project to preserve significant parts of its collection of seventeenth- through twentieth-century archives and manuscripts. The funds will be used to: 1) purchase archival storage supplies and equipment to re-house parts of the collection, 2) purchase equipment to monitor environmental conditions in HSF's archives space, and 3) pay for a training session on basic archival preservation practices for those who will be working with the collection. HSF is requesting the funds to implement recommendations in the recent report of its archival consultant, Jack McCarthy, who will serve as Project Director. |
