Puerto Rico Public Broadcasting Corporation, CPRDP, created the Angel F. Rivera Documentation Center, providing state-of-the-art conservation, cataloging & digitization of all recordings created by the CPRDP for the last 50 years. The center shelters four principal archives: Historical Archive, News Archive, Radio Archive & the Videotheque. At present, CPRDP is focused on achieving the integration of all the information systems in order to facilitate the access & management of the contents of the vast collection. The project submitted to the NEH for funding focuses on the Radio Archive allowing the preservation, cataloging & digitizing of recordings dating back to 1957 as well as the creation of an online database for professional access. |
