Twenty internships at New York University's Moving Image Archiving and Preservation program, which places students in cultural heritage institutions located in the New York metropolitan region as well as nationwide.

The Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts is requesting funds to offer financial support to students while they perform internships in important humanities collections. This funding will place 30 students in 30 internships over the next two years. Cultural heritage institutions continue to have a need for professionals who have the specialized knowledge and skills to care for audiovisual materials. As one of only a handful of graduate program in the world focused on training the next generation of audiovisual archivists, MIAP is preparing future professionals to cope with the transition of older media to digital formats, and to ensure that born-digital material is accessible in the future. Internships are not only essential to the education and training of students, but they also have a direct impact on the internship sites' efforts to preserve and provide access to their humanities collections.
