Purchases to improve the Old Stone House Museum and Historic Village’s (OSHM) preservation practices with dataloggers to be placed throughout the museum’s collections storage and historic buildings, and installation of rolling shelving units. Additionally, floor paint and Tyvek house wrap would treat the floor and ceiling in the Grammar School building to augment the collections storage space. OSHM, on Vermont’s African-American Heritage Trail, includes buildings significant to the history of Orleans County from the mid-eighteenth century through the nineteenth, including the home of Alexander Twilight, an African-American educator and minister and first African American to graduate college in the United States.

This project seeks to fully outfit a collections storage space that has been monitored for such purpose for the past three years, allowing collections to be stored in the space. It also supports the purchasing of climate monitoring data loggers to establish site-wide climate date across the museum's collections storage and historic buildings.
