To conduct a general preservation survey of the paper-based materials in the East Texas Research Center. The center is an archive that is part of the Ralph W. Steen Library. It collects and organizes educational and research materials with an emphasis on eastern Texas life, culture, economy, and history. This first preservation assessment would allow the institution to devise a plan to protect the collections from disasters, prioritize preservation activities, and identify storage and environmental needs for the center's future quarters. |
