Holdings include 530 linear feet of archival materials, 15,000 photographs, 1,000 blueprints, 700 books, 400 works of art, 10,000 audio and video cassettes, the personal papers of notable journalists, including cartoonist Clifford Berryman, and the archives of the Women's National Press Club.
This project will provide the National Press Club Archives with a functional disaster plan and training for staff to implement the plan. The planning process will consist of a series of site visits, meetings, and telephone consultations, based on a mutally agreed upon schedule between the Archivist of the National Press Club and the Preservation Director of the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts based in Philadelphia. CCAHA will provide guidance, assessment tools, and technical information to assit in the completion of a specially tailored emergency preparedness and response plan. Currently the National Press Club Archives does not have any type of disaster planning in place nor does it have staff trained to deal with a disaster. |
