The mission of South Carolina Humanities is to enrich the cultural and intellectual lives of all South Carolinians. SC Humanities presents and/or supports literary initiatives, lectures, exhibits, festivals, publications, oral history projects, videos and other humanities-based experiences that directly or indirectly reach more than 250,000 citizens annually. Some of our programs include: the Grants Program (Major Grants, Mini Grants, Planning Grants, and Fast Track Literary Grants); the Speakers Bureau: Humanities Out Loud program; the Let's Talk About It Reading and Discussion Program; the Museum on Main Street partnership; the annual South Carolina Humanities Festival, and the Governor's Awards in the Humanities. |
