To support the Council's Speakers in the Humanities program and a book discussion program for adults by expanding the emphasis on topics in American history and culture.

The New York Council for the Humanities proposes to use “We the People” funds to expand its American history offerings in Speakers in the Humanities, its long-standing lecture bureau, and to create new themes in American history and extend the reach of Reading Between the Lines for Adults, a new book discussion program.
