We the People funds will support North Dakota Reads, the highly successful reading and discussion program facilitated by scholars. New nonfiction titles will be added to the reading list, including those relating to President Lincoln and the impact of the Homestead Act of 1862. A portion of the WTP grant will fund small regrant requests for scholars to lead discussions statewide, and a portion will support presentations by ND-born historian James McPherson in the fall of 2008. |
