an effort to inform and educate the local Guam community about the many issues surrounding the unprecedented U.S. military build up by means of convened conversations throughout the island, carried out in cooperation with the Mayor's Council and other community based organizations and local military based groups.

The island of Guam has a long and complex history with America, specifically its military, which began in 1898. Beginning in 2012, the U.S. military will begin a large-scale buildup on Guam. The impending expansion will have significant impact on the island’s future. This project will entail the convening of community conversations and a larger conference about the buildup in order to inform and educate the people of Guam about the important issues surrounding this unprecedented undertaking.
