The island of Guam has a long and complex history with America, specifically its military, which began in 1898. Beginning in 2012, the U.S. military will begin a large-scale buildup on Guam. The impending expansion will have significant impact on the island’s future. This project will entail the convening of community conversations and a larger conference about the buildup in order to inform and educate the people of Guam about the important issues surrounding this unprecedented undertaking. |
