Three one-week summer workshops for 120 school teachers on Benjamin Franklin's life, ideas, and legacy, utilizing important historical sites in Philadelphia.

Sponsored by the School of Humanities at Penn State Harrisburg, this grant will sponsor three one-week institutes for K-12 teachers, to be held in Philadelphia in the summer of 2007. Teachers will be chosen from a national competition, and will be exposed to cutting-edge interdisciplinary humanities scholarship as well as unparalleled access to some of the most significant sites in American history.
