Renovation of the university's library to bring the Division of Special Collections into a single space; purchase and installation of digital technology and endowment for student research scholarships and salary for a Director of Special Collections.

This project will increase capacity for Special Collections in three ways: 1) to provide funds to renovate re-purposed space to bring together the LaBudde Special Collections and the Marr Sound Archives into one newly expanded, renovated space that better serves researchers who typically need to use both collections; 2) to provide technology to advance and disseminate humanities research and to digitally preserve primary humanities resource material; and 3) to establish an endowment to partially fund the Director of Special Collections position and to provide annual student research grants.
