French Studies Program
To establish an interdisciplinary French Studies Program which will draw on the resources of the departments of French, Sociology, Politics, Economics and History and which will train students in the culture and civilization of France. The program will lead to two levels of certificates of proficiency. There will also be a small number of Ph.D.'s in a three year program which includes a year's study in France.
