The King Digital History Project
The development of a website of historical materials and related teaching resources on Martin Luther King, Jr., and the modern civil rights movement.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute at Stanford University is seeking funding for the development of a King Digital History Project (KDHP). The primary goal of the KDHP is to develop a national model for a document-based curriculum on King and the modern civil rights movement. This project will provide teachers with on-line historical documents and materials to support the development of historically accurate and pedagogically effective lesson plans that engage students in active learning and critical inquiry, while meeting state and national standards.
